Last Month I became an aPRO Recognized Assessor

What is the aPRO?
For the asapm ( American Socity of Advanced Project Management) Performance Rated Organization
asapm introduce the release of aPRO, an organizational assessment of PM Performance. aPRO, asapm Performance Rated Organization, consists of a Standard, Assessor Guidance, an Assessor Recognition program, and the training needed to properly use the process. See the aPRO Press Release announcing the full availability of this completed standard. .

The aPRO Standard has two purposes:

•To Certify project or program-performing organizations as meeting threshold performance requirements, as specified in asapm's extensively-researched organizational standard.

•To Assess organizations to identify the areas of greatest potential for significant pm performance improvement.
The aPRO standard uses the same rationale as asapm's Performance Competence-based Certification Program for individuals: To evaluate PM performance, or results, rather than merely concentrating on inputs or processes. This results in a more effective assessment, and requires less Assessor and organization staff time.

The aPRO Standard is available now. The rationale for the new standard is this: Even with the advanced certifications of Project and Program Managers that asapm offers, together with the entry-level knowledge-based certifications offered by others, Organizational PM Performance requires more than competent, performing Project and Program Managers. aPRO assesses and identifies the Units, Elements and Criteria that Performing Organizations demonstrate.
