Now it become clear that unless the EPM Consultant has a deep knowledge in Portfolio, Program and Project Management he/she can't get the maximum benefits from Microsoft project server 2010 for the organizations.
Technical Work now went back and business work come ahead. to be only a good in the installation and technical support this will not help you anymore to be EPM consultant.
Microsoft did a wonderful job in the new version of Microsoft Project 2010, really the new version will help the large and medium organization to enhance there investment, standardize the process , Manage demands and Manage resources more effectivel but this will stop many of technicians-who clam for long time that they are gurus in MS Project - to continue do a successful configuration.
Microsoft Project 2010 is very easy to install but it needs seniors and deep experience in the business itself to get the maximum benefit from it.
I found hundreds of technical people just install and configure the Microsoft EPM 2007 and run away after that the companies can't use it in a sufficient way.
In my e-mail box I have many requests from big and medium organizations who are suffering now from the bad implementation and need my help to get benefits from the system.
Those companies did a very common mistake from the beginning they assume that if the person is a good technical person he can implement the system successfully.
